THE POKER RUN HAS BEEN POSTPONED TILL NEXT YEAR.
LAURALEA, ALONG WITH ALL OF DREW'S GUARDIAN ANGELS HAVE DECIDED TO HOLD OFF ON THE FUND- RAISER TILL NEXT YEAR.
All the donations and the use of the KasBar are still going to happen but with the way the economy is right now everyone has decided now is not the right time. Also, because of the fantastic and overwhelming response to the benefit last November Drew needs nothing right now.  In another year or so there will be more awareness as to what Drew's future needs will be, in the area of communicative devices or power wheelchairs, etc...
Thank you for all your support and we look forward to getting together for a fun day next year!

On November 2, 2007 a wonderful group of people organized a succesful benefit for Drew.  Their goal was to raise enough money to build a room for Drew on the first floor of her house.  Because of their hard work and dedication to Drew and her family an overwhelming amount of people came for the fun evening.  At times it was elbow room only,  we should not have been surprised by how many people this beautiful baby girl had touched but we were.  We know she is special but to have people open their hearts and wallets to show us their support just took our breath away.  With the proceeds from the evening and the donated items and services their goal was met and Drew will have her room and also have it equipped with all she needs in her daily care.  There are no words to express our gratitude, thank you just doesn"t seem sufficient.  Just know that you have all contributed in some way to make life easier and bearable for a beautiful baby and her family.  No one knows what her future holds but this will so improve her quality of life and help her achieve all that she is capable of.  Bless you all!!!

Construction Updates:
Jan. 16th: Just a quick note to let everyone know where we are on the construction.  With the cold weather and waiting on materials it has slowed some but progress is coming along nicely. The electric is in thanks to Dad and Derek and EMCI, and the plumber, Mike Campia and his crew from Boston, were there yesterday doing all the plumbing for the handicapped bathroom and heat.  The DiPadua family have worked many hours and their expertise and dedication show in how spectacular this room is looking. It is all coming together nicely. Drew and her family are very blessed to have all these people working for her.

Jan. 29th: All the electrical, plumbing and rough work has been done and inspections have been passed.  The insulation is being done today so this will be a busy weekend with all the blue board going up and Wayne finally being able to get his hands in there to do the plaster work.  As you can see by the pictures it is really starting to take shape now.  All their hard work is coming together and the end is in sight now.  April can not wait to get her hands in there and start picking out colors,  I am sure pink will work its way in there!

February 18th: All the blueboard is up and the plastering work was started this weekend.  Hopefully today that will be complete,  it looks awesome what they have done so far! Pete installed the fireplace yesterday also.  Auntie Karen bought all the paint so Uncle Steve can start painting as soon as the plaster is set!  You will never guess what colors April picked!  It is all coming together so nicely,  we can see the move in date coming soon now,  we are hoping for another month.

February 26th: As you can see by the new pictures the plastering by Wayne and Mike came out fantastic. Uncle Steven had the painting done in two days and that also looks great. Nice colors April!  Ostermans is doing the gas hook-up today.  Fitzy's Hardwood flooring is hoping to put in wood floors at the end of this week with a donation of their time!  Wood Pro gave a big discount on the wood.   Will tiled the new bathroom floor this morning. The end is so close, the finishing work should go quickly.  April has not stayed in her house in over 7 months so she is so ready!

March 24th: As you can see by the pictures we are very close to completion. Just the finishing touches are needed now.  The new bathroom is done with the jetted tub all ready and waiting for Drew. If all goes as planned move in day will be within two weeks.
